St Peters Hockey Club FAQ: New Prospects / A1 Teams

Q: Will the teams be mixed birth year at each level?

A: Yes. Teams at each level will consist of mixed birth years, based on skill level and roster needs.

Q: Can I decline if my child makes the Sting and just play Prospects instead?

A: No. Per Missouri Hockey rules, players cannot decline a roster spot on a pod team (such as Sting) and still participate in the Prospects program.

Q: Does my child have to attend the Sting tryout to be eligible?

A: Yes. Attendance at the Sting tryout is required for eligibility on both Sting and Prospects teams.

Q: What if my child cannot make the tryout?

A: Unfortunately, per Missouri Hockey rules, players who do not attend the tryout will not be eligible to participate in the Prospects program

Q: Will my child have to attend the POD pool skate? 

A: No they do not have to attend, but if they decide to attend, if they are offered a spot at one of the other POD teams they cannot decline and still play prospects.
