6 & Under

For the 2026-27 season this program will be for players born in 2020 and 2021.

Registration will open in Mid-June and closes the first week of August. We will hold evaluations to form our teams in August, and practices will begin after teams or chosen. Season runs August until the middle of March. The 6U program will include 2–3 ice touches per wee.

Dues this year include 4 USA Hockey sponsored events. These events will consist of half-ice formats only and are included in the team’s overall ice touch count. First event is Labor Day Weekend.

Please note that weekly ice touches are subject to rink availability, holidays, team travel, and other scheduling factors. Ice touches include skill sessions, home games, away games, and other team activities based on each team’s schedule.

Our 6U program will practice and play home or away games on an average of 2 times per week. Practices are station based and follow USA Hockey ADM practice plans.

Our 6U teams will play 3-on-3 cross-ice and 1/2 ice games against teams from our club and other clubs in the area. Teams are comprised of 8-12 players and are coached by volunteer parents. Parents who are interested in coaching, please refer to the Coaching Requirements on the Resources tab on the website. There will be a check box at registration where you will be able to make the club aware of your willingness to coach.

Your team may vote to participate in jamborees (similar to tournaments). One of these jamborees typically costs each player around $50.
