Our Learn to Play hockey program is designed for kids who already know how to skate well enough to make it up and down the ice without holding onto anything. Typically, two to three sessions of skating classes are advised. Sessions are taught by Diana Schaefering and include skating instruction and hockey station drills. Sessions are held typically throughout the season and during the spring. Usually no sessions during the summer.
Most kids enter this program at ages 5 to 8. We do allow 4-year-olds and kids as old as 12.
We offer session in the fall (Oct. to Dec), winter (Jan. to March), spring (April to May). Sessions are one hour, once a week.
All sessions are at the St. Peters Rec-Plex, South Building.
You get a free St. Peters Hockey jersey at check-in at the start of each session.
