Our Learn to Play hockey program is designed for kids who already know how to skate well enough to make it up and down the ice without holding onto anything. Typically, two to three sessions of skating classes are advised. Sessions are held typically throughout the season and during the spring. Usually no sessions during the summer.
Most kids enter this program at ages 5 to 8. We do allow 4-year-olds and kids as old as 12.
We offer session in the fall (Oct. to Dec), winter (Jan. to March), spring (April to May). Sessions are one hour, once a week.
All sessions are at the St. Peters Rec-Plex, South Building.
You get a free St. Peters Spirit jersey at check-in at the start of each session.

Little Blues Families will need to get their USA Hockey numbers from the Blues. Wait until you have your USA number before you register.
Your child should know how to ice skate prior to registering for the Learn to Play program.
When registering you will be asked to choose between Learn-to-Play 1 and Learn-to-Play 2. If this is your son or daughter's first hockey experience you should choose LTP1.
LTP2 is for kids who have either already completed LTP1 or have comparable experience such as private lessons, have gone to many stick & puck sessions or has roller hockey experience.
Please note your player needs full head to toe hockey equipment including their own hockey stick and skates, we do not rent skates or equipment.
